My experience in digital events

As a freelance project manager in recent years I have contributed to the organisation of SFSCON - South Tyrol Free Software Conference, NOI Hackathon, Open Data Hub Day and Barcamp Südtirol in collaboration with the Tech-Transfer Digital team of NOI Techpark.

SFSCON

The South Tyrol Free Software Conference, SFSCON, is one of Europe’s most established conferences on Free Software. It promotes the use of Free Software and Open Source in digital infrastructures as a tool to achieve greater innovation and competitiveness.

EDITION 2020

In 2020, for the first time, the conference was held completely online with a live streaming of two days. We created 4 parallel studios, from where we broadcast the talks of 95 speakers. Despite the rather “special” circumstances, SFSCON saw participation from practically all over the world, reaching more than 3,000 views of the streaming just during the conference.

NOI Hackathon

The term hackathon comes from the fusion of the English words 'Hacking' (meaning, in this context, opportunity to solve technical problems in an unusual way) and 'Marathon'. Hackathons combine great idea development, entrepreneurial spirit and an energetic atmosphere!

NOI Hackathons, organised by the Tech-Transfer Digital team of NOI Techpark, are 24 hour events that bring together creatives and developers to conceive new ideas and projects.

SUMMER EDITION & SFSCON EDITION

There are usually two editions each year: the Summer Edition at Lido di Schenna in early August and the SFSCON edition at NOI Techpark in November.

NOI Hackathon Summer Edition 2020 at Lido Schenna was held in a hybrid mode for the first time both in person and online.

Barcamp Südtirol

Barcamps are open conferences where the participants themselves determine the contents and schedule the sessions. They are user-generated conferences - or "anti-conferences" - where, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, exchange and discussion are facilitated. "Sharing knowledge to increase one's own knowledge" is the guiding principle!

BARCAMP SÜDTIROL 2018

Barcamp Südtirol 2018 was organised by NOI Techpark, IDM Südtirol, HGV (Hotel and Restaurant Association) and Merano Tourist Office. The focus of the event is on the use of digital technologies in tourism.
